And, unlike many vacuums with mopping capabilities, it has object/obstacle detection that avoids things like dog toys and bowls (but not poop!).
Other great features include a self-emptying dustbin and a mop that is self-washing, adjustable to water temperature, and a side-reaching mops that can reach areas that other mops cannot reach. You can also set cleaning schedules in the app and customize the settings for each room in your home.
Like the S8 It also has multi-room smart mapping, and can distinguish between laminate flooring, carpets and hardwood rugs with high-pile. If you're looking to save time, it can even avoid mopping rooms that aren't dirty. If you have a variety of flooring options in your home and don't want to invest additional money for a Roborock with advanced mapping capabilities this is a great choice.
7. Q5 Pro
If you're looking for a flexible robot vacuum and mop that can handle both regular daily maintenance and touch-ups for wet messes, this robot is an excellent choice. It comes with a variety of features that include a self-emptying dustbin, a separate dock to refill water, and adjustable settings through the app. It's extremely quiet and can easily maneuver around furniture legs or socks. It's not able to pick up knots in the rug and it drains its battery quicker than other models we tried.
The Q5 Pro, with a price of less than $250, is a powerful unit that offers a powerful suction and convenient automation in a sleek design. It didn't do as well in our mopping and mopping tests as the much expensive Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra however it performed very well overall. It has a good amount of suction power, and it is able to take a photo of any object it picks up (i.e. chew toys, socks) and mark them as 'not found in the app to ensure that they aren't picked up during future cleanings. The photos are secure and aren't tied to your account.
It does a great job of vaccuming, however it isn't as good at mopping. It makes use of disposable wet wipes you clip onto the bottom of the bot, and then it drags them around the floor. Compare this to the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra or Narwhal that have water reservoirs and will automatically wash and attach their mopheads.
